GOMBO CLUB - CHEF ISSIAKA JOHNSON / CONCEPT, AD, DOP, EDIT

A short documentary portrait of chef Issiaka Johnson and his Gombo Club concept, created to document one of his final pop-up restaurants of the year. Drawing on my experience in high-end culinary productions, I developed the visual direction with Futur Vague production agency, combining cinematic food imagery, portraits and an intimate voice-over to capture the chef's personality, inspirations and approach to the plate.

« As far back as I can remember I always wanted to make music.

My name is Cyrill Reaidy, and I’m a Lebanese born and raised DJ, musician, event organizer, and sound system owner based in Dubai.
Music has always been my passion and borderline obsession, which grew to become my purpose in life.
Through the years, this has manifested in many ways, from burning CDs for my classmates back when access to music was pretty limited, on to hosting parties to promote the sounds that inspire me.

Since moving to the UAE back in 2014, I focused on developing my craft as a DJ , collecting vinyl, and building my studio to practice live music. Last year, I co-founded Moist Paper Party (@moistpaperparty ), a DIY anti-party for raw musical self expression and unorthodox experiences. Earlier this year, I founded Riddim Section (@rdmsection ) a club night revolving around cutting edge sounds of Drum & Bass and its adjacent genres. » @cyrillreaidy ”
